Please come for a two weekend event that will be full of workshops and venders selling handmade gifts; don’t miss out on all the thoughtful options for your loved ones to open this holiday season. SoWa, the heart of the art district in Boston during the holidays, is bustling with artists and vendors trying to find homes for their handcrafted art pieces. Special people in our lives deserve special gifts, so what better way to show appreciation this holiday season than gifting them a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, right?
The SoWa Winter Festival is the largest winter shopping village and holiday festival in Boston, and it’s finally here. It truly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The holiday season means that Jack Frost is out nipping at your nose, so make sure to bundle up before enjoying a winter cocktail with Christmas music playing in the background as you shop for your loved ones! This will be sure to warm you right up. It is the season of giving, so what better way to celebrate than walking down the holiday decorated streets of the SoWa district while enjoying a festive holiday drink? Come stop by for that winter cocktail by Banyan Bar & Refuge, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to support a neighborhood partner, United South End Settlements.
Walking into the Winter Wonderland Tent will not disappoint; we can promise you that. The Winter Wonderland Tent houses a variety of creative events. Alice’s Table, a high demand workshop, will be hosting an evergreen wreathe making event. This means you can hang-up a custom made and all natural material wreathe on your door this holiday season. The spirit of the holidays also involves the spirit of competition and outdoing your neighbors’ decorations for some. You could go buy your typical run-of-the-mill wreathe, or you could have your hand-made wreathe made at Alice’s Table’s workshop this season.
*Sleigh bells ring* are you listening? Learn how to create holiday themed embroidery with Knot +Stitch! Knot + Stich, another vendor located in the Winter Wonderland Tent this year, will provide a printed tote, and in addition to a full embroidery kit that is filled with all the materials to create two or more pieces. What better gift to give then a gift you’ve personally created with your own bare hands? This is also a gift that keeps giving, as you will learn the basics of embroidery; a creative talent to have!
Another event worth chiming into is Stamped Cards & Paperie. Check out the beautiful greeting cards they have to offer this holiday season.
